Free visual inspection and a written scope of work before any mitigation begins - photos, moisture readings, and drying logs go in your claim file
The scope we write is the scope we bill. Anything new gets shown to you, in writing, before we touch it.
Meet the Redondo Beach Team Behind DryMark Restoration Redondo Beach
We’re the crew that shows up when water’s still moving through your walls or mold’s turned a closet into a hazard zone. Every person on this page is based right here in the South Bay, not dispatched from some central office three counties away. What ties us together is simple: we document everything, we quote in writing before we start, and we stand behind the work for 365 days. Alicia Brennan built this team around The Haven Standard back in 2011, and that standard hasn’t slipped since.
Our People
Alicia Brennan, Owner
I started DryMark Restoration Redondo Beach in 2011 after five years as a claims adjuster, watching homeowners lose tens of thousands on denied claims because the restoration company couldn’t produce a photo record or a moisture log that matched the invoice. That documentation gap is what The Haven Standard was built to close. I still walk jobs personally when the loss is over $10,000 or when an adjuster needs someone who speaks their language. The irony I keep noticing: the driest days in Redondo Beach, the ones with Santa Ana winds blowing offshore, are the days we get the most water damage calls. Usually it’s a failed water heater in a garage or a pinhole leak in a copper line that finally let go after years of vibration. I hold IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician and Applied Microbial Remediation certifications, and I require every tech on my team to maintain current credentials. When I’m not on a job site, I’m usually at the Hermosa Beach farmers market with my dog, a terrier mix who has no respect for my schedule.
Marcus T., Lead Water Technician
Marcus has been with us since 2017, which in this industry means he’s seen pretty much every failure mode a building can throw at you. He’s the tech who gets called when a multi-unit building in the Riviera has a main line break at 2 a.m. and five units are taking on water. Marcus specializes in large-loss drying strategy, particularly psychrometric monitoring, which is the science of tracking temperature, relative humidity, and vapor pressure to prove a structure is actually dry, not just surface-dry. He runs our Dri-Eaz and Phoenix desiccant fleet and produces the daily moisture logs that keep insurance adjusters from kicking claims back. Off the clock, Marcus rebuilds vintage motorcycles in a garage in Torrance and will talk carburetor tuning until you politely excuse yourself.
Dana K., Senior Mold & Biohazard Technician
Dana joined us in 2019 with a background in industrial hygiene and a tolerance for the kind of confined-space work that makes most people reconsider their career choices. She’s our lead on mold remediation in the older stucco homes near the Redondo Beach Pier, where decades of salt air and failed waterproofing create chronic moisture issues behind walls. Dana holds IICRC Applied Microbial Remediation Technician and OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certifications, and she’s the person we send when a job involves Category 3 water, sewage backup, or biohazard cleanup requiring documented chain-of-custody protocols. She’s also the team member most likely to spot a containment breach before it becomes a cross-contamination event. Dana lives in North Redondo with two cats who do not appreciate her unpredictable hours, and she competes in local powerlifting meets when her schedule allows.
Rico V., Service Coordinator
Rico is the voice you’ll actually reach when you call (424) 375-7225 at 3 a.m. because your dishwasher supply line just emptied into your kitchen. He’s been with DryMark Restoration Redondo Beach since 2020, and his job is to dispatch the right technician with the right equipment, not just the closest warm body. Rico maintains our equipment readiness logs, coordinates directly with insurance adjusters during business hours, and makes sure every customer receives their written scope and photo documentation within 24 hours of job completion. Before joining us, he spent four years in logistics for a commercial marine contractor, which explains his almost obsessive attention to equipment staging and his ability to track six simultaneous jobs without apparent stress. Rico grew up in San Pedro, still fishes off the Redondo Beach Pier when the kelp beds are holding, and will absolutely ask you about your boat if you mention owning one.
Jasmine P., Restoration Apprentice
Jasmine started with us in 2023 after completing a construction technology program at El Camino College. She’s currently working toward her IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician certification while rotating through every phase of our operation: demolition, containment build, equipment deployment, moisture mapping, and final cleaning. Jasmine has already developed a particular skill with Injectidry hardwood floor drying systems, which use negative air pressure to pull moisture from beneath finished flooring without tearing it out. She’s the apprentice we assign when a customer has original oak floors in a 1950s Redondo Beach cottage and wants to save them if at all possible. Jasmine lives in the South Bay and is usually studying for her next certification exam during lunch breaks, though she’s also been known to disappear for weekend surf sessions at El Porto when the swell direction cooperates.
One Standard, Every Job

The Haven Standard isn’t a slogan we print on trucks. It’s a set of clauses that govern how every person on this team operates, whether the job is a 200-square-foot water loss in a Redondo Beach condo or a multi-structure fire rebuild coordinated across our broader California network.
Haven Standard, Clause 1: a written price before any work starts. No exceptions. Not for emergencies, not for repeat customers, not for jobs where “we’ll figure it out as we go.” Every technician on this page has the authority to stop a job if the scope changes and the customer hasn’t signed an updated price.
Haven Standard, Clause 2: documented photo record on every visit. Not a phone snapshot for our files. A dated, geotagged, sequential record that matches the invoice line for line. This is the documentation that turns restoration invoices into payable insurance claims, and it’s the gap Alicia Brennan built this company to close.
Haven Standard, Clause 3: 365-Day Done Right Promise. If it’s not done right, we make it right. Signed, not verbal. Every job.
Our equipment comes from Dri-Eaz, Phoenix, XPOWER, B-Air, and Injectidry. Our documentation meets IICRC, RIA, and IFA standards. Our people are background-checked, uniformed, and named before they arrive. And when you call (424) 375-7225, a live person answers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No voicemail trees. No next-business-day callbacks while water is still moving through your walls.
That’s the team. That’s the standard. If you need us, we’re here.
